Whew! Christmas is over and I cannot contain my excitement for all of you that got asked the best question ever - Will you marry me??
So now that the beautiful bling is slipped on your finger, where do you begin? First, don't panic. Stay calm and know that you are about to embark on one the most emotional journeys life has to offer. Second, once you set your date, its all systems GO! Purchase a great planner to stay organized and keep details intact. Set a budget and stick to it. You will be surprised how much the budget can get out of hand. The worst thing you can do is start your marriage in debt. Begin thinking about your guest list. This number will determine how much you will spend on your wedding reception and also the space you will need to hold all your guests. Next, select your ceremony and reception site. Then, get all the major vendors booked right away. Some wedding professionals are booked two years in advance! Once you have these main items taken care of, the rest is all about staying organized, making decisions, and attending to details. Remember, this is your wedding, don't lose sight of why you are getting married too.
